Many guests comment on the excellence of our food. We offer
meticulously prepared meals that are a delicious mixture of
Creole, Garifuna, Mayan, Mestizo and Taiwanese dishes.
We pride ourselves on using organically grown fruit and
vegetables whenever possible, and there are no chemical
preservatives in any of our food. We make our own bread,
yoghurt, cheesecake, soya milk and hibiscus flower iced tea.
Vegetarians are welcome and well catered for.
If anyone has any specific dietary requirements ¡¡ìC if they are
vegan, or gluten intolerant, or allergic to any particular
foods; if there is any particular thing they are particularly
fond of, or cannot eat (mushrooms, tomatoes, nuts¡ - they have
only to let us know and the kitchen will go to every length it
can to cater to those specifications.
Your orange juice at breakfast will be freshly squeezed from
three Belizean oranges less than two minutes before it is
delivered to your table.
At dinner each evening, omnivores will be served locally reared
chicken or tilapia, or locally caught lobster in season, to
accompany the delicious array of well-cooked, deliciously
flavored vegetables, rice, pasta ¡¡ìC the lightly battered,
deep-fried hibiscus flower bhajees are just one of this
kitchen¡¯s many popular specialties.
The service is personal, the conversation around the large
mahogany dining table normally engaging, the general atmosphere
that of an ad hoc family pleased to be in such excellent
company.
